Het Loo Palace

From 1686 to 1948 Het Loo Palace was the favourite summer residence of the Royal family. As a museum the Palace shows the 300 years that The Orange family lived here. The Palace has a beautiful garden, also called “little Versailles”

This museum shows life at the Veluwe around 1900. It also exhibits a large collection of mainly traditional costumes of the Veluwe.

The Dutch Bakery Museum

The museum is housed in two historical buildings and gives a survey of the history of bread and pastry. Especially nice for children!

The Anton Pieck Museum

The museum consists of three parts. It shows collections of paintings and drawings by Anton Pieck and Jan Voerman. The regional museum also exhibits medieval objects, traditional costumes and old fashioned rooms.

The fishing town of Elburg

This fishing town has a unique town centre where you find the harbour with its fishing boats (botters) and smokehouses. The inner town shows interesting sights, such as the ‘Vischpoort, a gate in the defensive wall from 1397, doorstep mosaics and the so called ‘muurhuizen’, houses built against an old town wall.
