Villages and Cities

Forget the time in characteristic Elburg

Our campsite is only a half-hour drive from Elburg. Make a guided city walk, bring a visit to the flourmill (Korenmolen) “De Tijd” or hire an authentic Elburg ‘botter’ (fishing boat) for a unique day of sailing. There is a market on Tuesday morning.

Pleasant shopping in Epe

From campsite “De Wildhoeve” it’s a only a short bike ride to Epe. Sit down on a terrace or scour all the nice shops in this charming village. On Friday evenings during summer season there is a fair and very often on Saturday the village is filled with music. Market on Wednesday mornings and Saturdays. By car? Parking is free!

A lot to do in Apeldoorn

Apeldoorn offers summer markets and fairs during the summer season. It’s an excellent place for shopping and entertainment. It gives a variety of music, film and theatre festivals. Regular market on Monday morning and Saturday.

Let yourself be inspired by the Hansa towns (Hanzesteden)

Shopping in the old streets of Deventer, enjoying culture among monumental buildings in Zwolle or having a bite in a nostalgic square in Hattem. Prefer an active day? Go bike riding into the Hansa valley or explore the inner town during the Hansa town walk.

Feel the atmosphere of the past in Zwolle

This town breathes the good atmosphere of the past. Actually everywhere the traces of the rich history can be seen. The characteristic fronts of the buildings, the defensive wall, the “Sassenpoort” (one of the old town gates), the “Peperbus” (basilica) and the star shaped canal that surrounds the town belong to the most important sights. There is market on Friday mornings.

Stay around, stay in Emst

Emst itself offers a lot! Let yourself be spoilt in Wellness Resort “De Veluwse Bron”, go water skiing in recreation area “Kievitsveld” or buy fresh honey at bee-keeper shop “De Werkbij”. Or surprise your kids with a visit to Heggies’ Playbarn or attraction park & trout farm ‘t Smallert!

Surprise yourself in Vaassen

Have a cup of coffee at Cannenburch Castle, admire Daam’s mill or bring a visit to the museum “Vaassen Historie”. Balloon rides are organized from Vaassen. Market on Saturday.
